Northern California in early spring is my favorite time here in Bay Area. Last year I drove to Pacifica to Moro Point and was in an awe of the beauty that has opened up in front of me. The entire hill that was usually dry and pale was covered with blooming spring flowers. I had my camera with me and took lots of photos.
Then I just sat down and kept inhaling all the magnificence of bright, yellow, purple flowers, green grass and salty ocean air. My mind stopped for this moment and I felt the deep presence of Now, being one with Nature. As I took some of digital photos however the impressions from mental pictures of the blooming beauty stayed with me and transformed into this painting. “ Spring Bloom”. 30 x 48. Acrylic on canvas.
